Tuition, Fees, and Enrollment for 2026-2027

     Our tuition rates are based on localized offerings, the rates of the schools in the Diocese of Kalamazoo (14 schools), and other private schools in our area. We are the second most affordable Catholic school in the entire diocese. Our Preschool rates are lower than most of the local offerings, and we are, by far, the most affordable preschool in the diocese.

Financial Assistance

    St. Mary’s School seeks to be accessible to anyone in our community who desires a Catholic education. Parishioners of local Catholic parishes will be considered first for aid upon application with a valid 1040 Tax Form from 2024. Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year will be due by May 1st. We unfortunately cannot consider applications for full scholarships at this time. All of our families make, even when assistance is received, a financial commitment to our school. You are authorized to apply for financial assistance once your application for enrollment has been accepted. Assistance is limited and not guaranteed.

Kindergarten Incentive

     In attempts to increase enrollment and encourage families to attend our grade school, we are offering current families and new families a Kindergarten Incentive of a $1000.00 discount on annual tuition for that student. In order to receive this discount, you need to request and notify the school upon enrollment before being confirmed. If you pay on time throughout your payment plan up until $1000.00 is due, you will no longer be charged for tuition for the remainder of your balance. Payments will be standard based on the pre-incentive total, not based on the discounted rate. This incentive is offered to incoming Kindergarteners only.

Full days are 8am-3pm. Half days (preschoolers only) are 8am-11am. You may drop off your student as early as 7:30am. Pick up is at 3pm. St. Mary's School will attempt to honor scheduling preferences for preschool, but they are not guaranteed. Current families will receive priority scheduling. If your child needs to stay after 3pm, check out our After School Club information below!

After School Club is an affordable after school care option for all St. Mary's families. Please read more about our After School Club here on our website. We offer After School Club throughout the entire school year from 3pm-5pm. After School Club is not offered on half days.

Most families pay for tuition on a 10 month payment plan based on their tuition rate, although we do offer several different payment plans. Payments are due on the last day of the month dependent on your payment plan type.

• Full pay : When you pay your tuition in full before the first day of the school year, you will receive a 5% discount on your tuition total.

• 10 Month Payment Plan : Divide your annual tuition rate by 10, and plan to pay each month by the last day of that month. This plan runs from September through June.

• Quarterly Payment Plan : Divide your annual tuition rate by 4, and plan to pay by the last day of the month September, December, March, and June.

Both the 10 Month Payment Plan and the Quarterly Payment plan can be set up for Automatic Withdrawal ACH payments upon request. This can also be set up for weekly or biweekly automatic payments.

Payment Methods : Tuition can be paid via personal check, cash, money order, or cashier's check in the school office.  Payments can also be electronically withdrawn from accounts with family authorization on a specific day they choose. Before you can get funds electronically withdrawn, you must fill out an ACH Authorization Form. Please get a form from the school office or email [email protected] for a copy.

Registration Fee (yearly):

• $50.00 per family before March 1st, 2026
• $75.00 per family March 1st through May 21st, 2026
•  $100.00 per family after May 22nd, 2026

Administrative Fee: $25.00 (New families, one time fee) This fee helps our school process and keep track of the administrative requirements our school completes when a new student or family joins our school.

Technology Fee for K - 6th Grade (only), per student : $50.00

    In order to cover the ongoing costs of technological upkeep for the school and for our students, we are now requiring a contribution to support the purchase, maintenance and upkeep of our computers, tablets and different softwares we use. This fee will be yearly.

Curriculum Fee for Preschool - 6th Grade, per student : $20.00

    This fee will help us ensure that each classroom has access to funds for special projects throughout the year, mostly for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) learning. Project based activities bring science to life for our students, and having a small fee allows us to explore new teaching methods that make a big difference in our curriculum. This fee will be yearly.

Parent Volunteer Agreement and Acknowledgement

    We take pride in parent involvement at St. Mary’s School. Through the year, our families band together to fundraise, organize events, and put together fun activities for our school community. These things promote the bonding and mutual support that makes St. Mary’s one big family. Our functionality as a Catholic school entity relies on participation.

    Parents are required to participate in events throughout the year in order for our school to thrive. If you cannot give your time, monetary donations to the school are a welcomed form of support. There are many opportunities to get involved for all different types of skill sets; our expectation for families is to play a role in the success of the school.
